Radiation Protection Unit

The Radiation Protection Unit is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Ministry’s Radiation Protection policies, strategies, and standards. In addition, the Directorate monitors radiation exposure of health staff, patients and the immediate environment and regular inspection of the Ministry’s radiation producing premises and devices to ensure conformity with International Radiation Protection Regulations. The unit works closely with the Radiation Protection Agency of Zimbabwe.
